People always ask where we find all of our magazines. There are a lot of answers, many of which we have addressed in previous episodes. On this one, we talk about antique stores and antique malls specifically - what the difference is between them, how to find the best ones, and where to search once you're on site. Be sure to check out our store and more at massmagazineman.com

I have a little secret for you - there is a actually more money in selling the ads out of old magazines than there is in the actual mags themselves. Here's the first of what I'm sure will eventually be several episodes about how to harvest #vintagemagazineadvertisement gems.

You guessed it - I just scored boxes upon boxes of High Times. Before we get in to how to sell and bundle them and what they're worth let's get into some High Times history, how they helped pave the way for alternative media, and how distribution fared during their heyday. I've now done four auctions on the live auction app Whatnot and am here to report back to you all about this tech which is definitely taking us into the future of thrifting and selling. It won't be the last episode we do on Whatnot but it's a big one where I answer all sorts of the questions you may have as a buyer or seller on the platform.

Back from a week of magazine hunting in the New England wilds with an update on how one might best flip massive bundles of vintage magazines all at once. Plus I'm finally on Whatnot, the app that I contend is the future of auctions and collecting. What mags am I bringing to auction? Check out more and find mags at: linktr.ee/massmagazineman

In New England, we don't have too many yard sales in the winter. Thrift stores typically stink for magazines - many turn them away, as we've discussed tactics to use that to your advantage on previous shows - but for books, VHS, and seemingly everything else, the spots where we source vintage gems in the snowy weather are raising prices. Here's a short episode about why that sucks and (a little bit about) what you can do about that. Also: an absurdly unique find.

I ran into Scott at a warehouse dig a few months ago. We used to work at a magazine together; these days, we often team up to find old mags and newspapers. And books. Lots of #vintagebooks. Scott has a lot of great advice for diggers and treasure hunters. We spoke on our way to a major paper excavation. Check it out. It's a fun interview. You can visit Scott's store at ebay.com/str/bigstarchild. And of course you can find all the mags we have for sale at ebay.com/str/massmagsandmore.

I guess you could call this a continuation of our epic saga about getting our hands on literally thousands of car magazines at once. Don't worry, we're not going to go too deep into the actual titles in this episode but rather use this opportunity as a lens through which to discuss how one can go about organizing (with the intent to sell) this kind of unbelievable vintage collectible trove. Check out more pics of the mags plus listings via https://linktr.ee/massmagazineman
